Terms of Use

End User License Agreement (EULA) for DICOM Viewer: Raykin

These terms apply when you use DICOM Viewer: Raykin (“Raykin”), made by ORIENTPRO (“we”, “us”), on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch. By downloading or using Raykin, you agree to them.

Not a medical device

Raykin is for viewing and organising your own medical images. It is not a medical device, not intended for diagnosis, treatment or clinical decisions, and does not replace your doctor or the hospital’s official report. Measurements and 3D views are approximate. Always ask your doctor about your results. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

1. Your licence

Raykin is licensed to you, not sold. Your use of it is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) together with these terms, which add the details specific to Raykin. If the two ever conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

2. What Raykin is for

Raykin is for viewing and organising your own and your family’s medical images. Images in Raykin can look different from the way they appear on the hospital’s own systems, and photos of films and scanned reports are pictures rather than the original scan files. Do not rely on Raykin for any medical decision; always ask your doctor.

3. Raykin Pro, subscriptions and Lifetime

Raykin is free to download and use. Raykin Pro adds unlimited family members, Then & Now, measurements, MPR & 3D, Clean Share and Smart Search. It is available as a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription that renews automatically, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. There is no free trial; you can try every Pro tool free on the built-in sample family.

Prices are shown in the App Store before you buy and vary by country. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period until you cancel. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. To stop a renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device. After you cancel, Raykin Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.

Lifetime is a single payment that never renews, and it can be shared with your Family Sharing group.

You can restore purchases and redeem offer codes inside the app.

4. Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

5. Your images and your responsibilities

You are responsible for having the right to import, keep and share the images you put in Raykin, for example because they are your own, because you are the patient’s parent or guardian, or because the patient has agreed. Keep the original disc or files from the hospital: Raykin does not replace the hospital’s records.

6. Clean Share

Clean Share removes identifying information, such as names, IDs, birth dates and hospital details, from the DICOM data in a copy, shifts the dates, and flags text that may be burned into the images. Identifying details can still appear in ways software cannot always detect, such as text inside an image. You must review everything you share before you send it, and you are responsible for what you share.

7. Hospital websites and other services

Hospital portals opened from a QR code or link are run by the hospitals, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for their content or availability. The same is true of the apps and services you use to share or back up your scans.

8. No warranty

Raykin is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that Raykin will open every file, be free of errors or run without interruption, or that measurements, 3D views or explanations are accurate or complete.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORIENTPRO is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Raykin, including any decision made on the basis of images, measurements or explanations shown in it. Our total liability for any claim relating to Raykin is limited to the amount you paid for Raykin in the twelve months before the claim.

Some countries and states do not allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page with its effective date. If you keep using Raykin after a change, the updated terms apply.
